GDHS is introducing a new seasonal event as an expanded version of our tour of historic cemeteries.  The group will meet at the Peggy Bancroft Hall at 2:45 PM and proceed to the Frey-Fetsock Funeral Home by 3:00 PM.  John Fetsock will share the history of Victorian funerals and the artifacts of his business that celebated 150 years of operation this year.  A Victorian mourner will return to discuss the interesting, and often, macabre mourning practices of the time.

The group will travel to the Pine Grove Cemetery for a tour guided by Ruth Altemier and Ellen Drake.  Transportation can be provided for those not familiar with the area.

Registration is required for this event by October 4.  You can contact Greene-Dreher HS at to reserve a spot or call 570-676-9816 and leave a message.  This line is dedicated to event reservations, and you will recieve a confimation by text, phone, or email by your preference.
